Before coming together to form Studio979 we both had our own separate photography businesses, each with its distinctive style, one more photojournalistic and the other more formal. Steve is a trained research chemist and holds a masters of Science from a top ranked Canadian university. As a scientist, Steve is challenged with finding answers to nature's mysteries. Steve approaches photography as a scientific problem. Capturing the beauty that exists in everyone and everything is simply another mystery to solve.
